Americanah on TV!

There's super cool news in the publishing and movie market. The book Americanahby the already recognized Nigerian writer @chimamanda_adichie, will become a TV series. The actresses Lupita Nyong'o e Danai Guriewho acted together in Black Pantherthey meet again in this adaptation. Not only as actresses, but also behind the camera.

Lupita has has had the rights to this award-winning novel for some time. Gurie will write the adaptation script, and the series will star the already renowned actor David Oyelowo.

The Prize National Book Critics Circle Award addresses issues of race, gender and identity, issues that are so poignant and necessary in our society. The plot tells the story of the Nigerians Ifemelu and Obinze, who are forced to separate because of the unrest in a country living under a harsh dictatorship.

With a great team at the helm of this history, all we can do is hope for good things to come!
